Hi, I’m Eryn – proud boss mum to Eddie!
Growing up in a family full of healthcare professionals – including a nurse, an occupational therapist, and a couple of physiotherapists – I couldn’t help but be drawn to the health field. With a passion for both food and health, I realised I could combine these two loves and pursue a career in health and nutrition. After completing years of university studies, I proudly became an Accredited Practising Dietitian, and I’ve never looked back. I’m incredibly fortunate to be doing something I truly love.
I’ve had the privilege of working with several health services, including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Bunbury Regional Hospital. Seeking a change of pace and new experiences, I made the bold move from sunny Perth to beautiful British Columbia, Canada, to gain international experience. There, I worked with Island Health, covering inpatient and outpatient areas across Victoria General Hospital, Royal Jubilee Hospital, and Cowichan District Hospital. In my free time, I loved exploring Vancouver Island, hiking through its beautiful landscapes in the summer, and hitting the slopes for snowboarding in the Rockies during the winter.
Throughout my career, I’ve gained extensive experience in a variety of fields, including mental health, gastroenterology, neurology, oncology, and heart health. However, my true passion lies in working with individuals with disordered eating and eating disorders. This interest began during my time at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, where I worked with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with eating disorders. It continued to develop further when I worked in mental health in Canada. Today, I’m fortunate to continue this work as part of the wonderful team at Dietwise, where I have the opportunity to spend the time to connect with my patients and support them on their personal journeys.
More recently, I’ve also developed a strong interest in supporting clients trying to conceive, during pregnancy, and postpartum. Having faced fertility challenges myself before welcoming my son, I deeply empathize with others going through a similar experience. I’m passionate about helping people increase their chances of conceiving and navigating the pregnancy journey with confidence.
I’ve been described as calm and serene, and together with my little sidekick Eddie, I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for everyone I work with.
Actually, I have two very important questions that I need answered.
“So Eduardo III, tell me the truth. Who do you love more, your dad or me”?
Now the big question. “What did your parents really look like? A Staffy and a Labrador like we were told”?
